Noticable Difference


Seth is a handsome man with crimson red eyes, and long dark hair. On his fore head is a kido marking, its origins unknown and its purpose lost to the sands of time. The length of his hair reaches to his shoulders and often leaves it hanging, only styling it when the occasion demands. His facial structure is considered rectangle/oblong, meaning that quite slender and angular. He is of average build but has a good muscle tone. Alway's clean shaven and consistantly has smile on his face which he presents to everybody he passes. Due to his erratic sleeping pattern, he has developed black ring's under his eyes. His posture is alway's relaxed, and is often seen looking out the windows, even in important meetings.

He wears his robes with pride but is not afraid to get his clothes dirty or wrecked. Parts of his robes have been patched back together. Seth's needle skills lacking, so a few patches look quite apparent. When traveling he wears a dark cloak in which he carries several supplies. His hands are rough and dry from years of experimenting with different plants, to make new forms of medicine. The fingernail's are kept short due to his habit of biting them. On his feet he wears old leather sandles, that strap up around his ankles.

Positive Traits

• Many a shinigami can a test to the man's kindness. He is naturally warm to those that he meet's and seems to have a calm aura surrounding him.
  
• His calm nature allow's Seth to listen to people's concern's and offer sound advice, even if they chose not to take it.
  

Negative Traits

• Morally grey. Over a thousand year's Seth has watched how the worlds have changed, and weigh's his option's dependent on what will bring the most balance. Even if this meant murder, he would calmly execute the deed without a second thought.
  
• Stubborn. This may be due to his age or Ketsueki's influence but once he has made up his mind it is difficult
  

TMI?:

Fears. Seth has no particular phobia to speak of, but does feel the emotion, for him it is just a natural response. Due to his open-mindness, he has embraced new technology but he also wary of it. Being around for over a thousand years, he has seen the destruction it can unleash on mankind and the devestation it has wrought on the natural environment. This has led him to develop a wariness with members of the Research Division.

Overall Personality. Seth is calm natured and easy going, preferring to relax under the night sky watching the star's than working. But he is no mean's lazy, performing his duties effectively for his division. His easy nature make's him approachable to people, willing to help when needed. He feel's from time's, bout's of self confidence but Ketsueki always' snap's him out of it. He is open minded in his way of thinking and approach to life, which does lead him to day dream.

For some reason Seth is more of a night person, he feel's far more comfortable and intune with his surrounding's. This feeling he cannot put a finger on where it come's from but he believes that it is connected to his human life. Seth was known for his antic's as a womanizer in his youth but over the many year's he could not find what he was looking for, so in the end he decided to stop looking. He will still playful flirt from time to time.

He believe's firmly in his duties' as a shinigami but is willing to bend the rule's to get the job done. Many would say that it works within the boundaries of morally grey actions.

A Bond That Can't Be Denied

Zanpakuto Spirit:



Ketsueki joō. The blood mistress take's the innocent looking shape of a cat-girl. About five foot tall with a lithe body form. Her hair is an ocean blue, and fall's all the way down to the waist, a small red ribbon is tied at the bottom. Ketsueki eye' are the color of golden amber. Depending on her mood they take different shape. Angered they take a far more feline appearance. Kesueki take's vain pride in her appearance, believing herself to be ''The prettiest gal in town.'' She adore's her favorite little dress, checking now and again to make sure it's not dirty.

Much like a cat she is free spirited, full of energy and playful but behind, that mask of cute antic's lie's the heart of a natural born killer. In the past the two were at odd's, she would berate Seth for his quiet nature but acknowledged and respected his skill. Ketsueki is protective of Seth and does not like it when certain people get to close to him, predominately any pretty girl's. She has been known to throw hissy fit's, but Seth is well

Inner World:



The sand's of the beach is golden, the sea a deep blue. His inner world is similar to that of secluded beach on a forgotten island.The crescent of the moon is visible high in the sky evens those the sky is blue. Whenever Seth come's here he find's himself at peace, allowing himself to day dream and walk hand in hand with Ketsueki along the shoreline. But when Seth his emotional and conflicted, black cloud's taint the perfect sky and rains blood from the heaven's. When it rain's the blood mistress hide's, to protect her dress and to advice Seth.

Seth come's to the inner world often to converse with Ketsueki preferring to talk to her face to face on certain matter's. Seth has also constructed a wooden hut for Ketsueki so that she has a place for her dresses. She doesn't let Seth in it saying that ''Girl's gotta have secret's.''

Sealed Zanpakuto: In it's sealed state its blade length is 24 inch's with the hilt about five inch's. The handle of the blade is wrapped in soft red fabric, the sheath is also the same color. Along the blades cutting edge, a crimson red hue is stained, no matter how much the blade is cleaned, the stain stubbornly stay's. On the guard there is a symbol of a cat looking up to the moon. Seth wear's his katana on his left waist, and is capable of using it with easy due to it incredible light weight.



Shikai Appearance : Drowning Flood Ketsueki joō

Seth zanpakutou take's the form of a jutte. It is about 45 cm (18 inches) long with cutting edge and an one-pronged tine, about five cm long starting just above the handle and pointing toward the tip. Kido mark's are etched into the red handle, glowing a bright blue when both are fighting in perfect tandem. It feel's weightless to hold, but is far more sturdier than it first appear's. A small red ribbion hang's from the handle and coil's it self around Seth's forearm.



Shikai Abilities: Seth Darko's zanpakutou ability is always activated. It inflicts wounds that will not stop bleeding unless covered with earth or mud, like a river cannot be stopped unless dammed. The ability is a kido based, having more in common with a blood curse than a magical attack. For one to stop the bleeding, (but not heal the cut) they must cover the cut with any form of natural earth, a hand full being the required amount, lesser amount's will only slow the bleeding. When the sword is returned to being sealed the curse is also lifted.

There is a flaw if one would call it that. Seth will tell his oppentent how to left the curse. This is because of two thing, he's just not sadistic like Kitsueki, and peferring to fight on even terms.

Human Life

He sat that within the oak tree, on a thick branch. Looking down on the village he could hear the song's and cheer's of the villager's and a smile spread across his face. ''Sound's like fun.'' he thought as he began to day dream looking skyward. The night sky was clear and beautiful, the star's sparkled and the moon sat full. Staring at the moon, he looked upon the surface and marveled in her beauty. That moment those disappeared as a stick hit in the back of the head. ''Oi what gives? That you Skatha?'' he shouted out as he looked behind him. ''Aye it is. Have you got your head in the cloud's again?'' the dark hair beauty asked playful. ''My thought's are only of you my beloved.'' he replied as he made his way down the tree, slipping at the bottom and following on his bum.

Skatha laughed heartily as she watched him gather himself. Once dusted down Seth just looked at Skatha for a moment, she was everything to him, life would have no meaning, no worth to him without her. He walked toward's her open arm's and embraced. Gently he kissed her then pulled back looking deep into her blue eye's. ''You have my heart forever.'' he whispered gently, Skatha replied in kind. Her right hand gently stroked his face, pulling back his long hair behind his ear. ''When do you go?'' she asked awkwardly ''I leave in the morning. Do not fret I will return as fast as the wind.'' he replied bravely ''You best.'' he remarked as she pulled him in for a hug.

Alas he did not return, shot down four day's later by highway men.

Shinigami Academy

Calmly he sat waiting his turn, unsure if he was ready. But time was not on his side he was next up. ''Seth Alexander Darko your next!'' the instructor shouted. Standing up he made his way to his position and stood looking at a target 20 metes' away. Breathing deeply he gathered himself and closed his eye's. Then he began to chant ''Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Inferno and pandemonium, the sea barrier surges, march on to the south! Shakkahō'' The red energy formed quickly in to a ball, infront of his out stretched arms. The ball shot off with such speed and force Seth was knocked to the floor. The energy of the attack tore up the ground beneath and on contact obliterated the target. Sitting up Seth looked at the destruction he caused ''Damm. Did I do that?'' he asked with a smile.

Later that day his instructor took him to one side ''Not bad boy. You sure can handle your kido. Keep the same path you are on now. No distraction's and you can be a shinigami within three year's. You have got the talent.''

A year later whilst laying on his dorm's roof watching the night sky he heard a whisper. Closing his eye's he allowed his mind to wander. Seth opened them ten second's later and found himself on a beautiful beach of the like's he ever seen. ''Hello Seth.'' a girl's voice charmed, quickly he turned. Looking down he saw the cat-girl looking back up at him. ''Hello who are you?'' he asked ''My name is Ketsueki joō I am the blood mistress. I am your zanpakuto.'' she replied trying to act as cute as possible. ''Well it is a pleasure to meet you Ketsueki.'' Quickly she pounced and hugged him ''Don't worry your not alone anymore.'' she whispered.

Back on the roof he opened his eye's to find Ketsueki in his hand, he could feel her spiritual presence, he could her speak ''Call my name..'' she started ''Drowning Flood Ketsueki joō'' he finished. His blade released into shikai form. ''Those cut by me, there wound's will not stop bleeding, unless they dam them with the very earth.''

Seth passed his exam's in four year's, he could not help but get distracted by all the beautiful girl's.

Roleplaying Sample:Hidden Memories Of A Lost Time

600 Year Ago

He streched his arm's high into the air as he yawn loudly as Seth walked through the streets of the first districts of west Rukongai. The road to his home was busy and bustling with life, so many people meander the cobbled streets as the festival was in full swing. Today had been a good day for him, as Seth finally felt that he had settled in well in his division. The pace of life was so much slower than when he was in the third, for the fact as a doctor he was always on call, jumping to action when needed. It was a common habit Seth found, that most shinigami would bite off more than they could chew and allowing there pride to get in the way of doing their duties as soul reapers effectivicely.

But since his promotion Seth had found, that he had far more time to spend with his wife and son. That he was thankfully for, just the pure joy he got from being with them was unparrelled, he was on cloud nine when he felt the loving warmth of his family. He had met his wife fifty years ago, whilst she was in the academy but he knew in that silent moment when his eye's met hers, that she was the one, his one and only, the dark haired Cetic beauty he knew in his human life, his lover Skatha. It had been a turbeluos time in his life when he met her, Seth had lost a close friend who gave his life to save a recruit in a hollow attack. His best friend Ryak was like a brother to Seth, they had met many years ago in the academy and from that day they were inseperable, always ducking and diving, causing slight havoc and womanising. But those day's would never be, as alas all good things must come to an end. Skatha had helped him deal with his loss and in time they became lovers once more. At first Seth found it strange that she quit the academy, as she was so close to gradutating but the words she spoke to him that day was his answer. ''I am with child, my love.''

Seth felt a tug on his robes as he walked, which snapped him from his daydreaming. Looking down he saw a small red haired litte girl, with short hair scruffy. Her blue little dress was stained with dust and dirt, one of the small ribbons on the shouder was cleary missing. In the childs folded arm's she cradled a small grey kitten. Turning around, Seth lowered his knees and smiled warmly at the little girl. ''Hello child, thats a cute little kitten you have there.'' Reaching out his right hand he gently stroked the grey kittens head, and chuckled as a sqeauky meow escaped the small creature. ''What seem's to be the problem litte miss?'' he inquired warmly. A small snievel could be heard from the child as her green eye's began to well with tears. The child explained her story to the shinigami, about what had happened. She had found the kitten in the alley, and bigger boys had been hurting the small creature. Even with her small stature she fought the boys and saved the little thing kitten from there childlike torture.

Seth had been taking aback, by the story of the child unsure how much was true and what was fiction but on futher inspection of the child he could clearly see the dried blood on her knuckles. Lowering his hand from the kitten small furry head, to the girls left hand. The child winced a little in pain, even those his touch was soft. With a mere thought he channelled his reiatsu to transfer to that location, a mild green hue surrounded the girls closed fist as he healed her broken hand. Seth held the child's gaze with a warm smile as the spell went to work, calmly comforting the girl with general chit chat, trying to keep her mind active.

A few mintues had passed and the spell had been a success, a wide smile spread across the childs face and Seth could cleary see a tooth missing. A warm laughter erupted from Seth as looked at the girl, he could tell she was a fire cracker.Rising his hand up from the childs fist he stroked the head of the kitten once more. Seth rose up and let the child go on her way back home, watching her as gleefully skipped away. Turning on his heels, Seth made his way through the crowds.

Ten mintues had passed and Seth found himself standing outside his home. Skatha had chosen to leave the court of pure souls to raise their child, sighting that she did not want him to be around shinigami's all the time, she wanted him to have a normal childhood. Peering through his front window, he could clearly see his son sitting at the table drawing away. The boys features were much like his father, but he had the eyes of his mother, a deep dark blue. Gently Seth tapped on the window to get his son Luneth's attention, and as the boy looked up his father waved. The look of sheer delight and excitment could be seen on the young boys face lit up and it warmed Seth's heart. Luneth jumped down from his seat and ran like the wind to the door.

As the door opened Luneth jumped straight up into his fathers open arms and hugged him with all his might. Seth closed his eye has he held his son tightly to his chest and breathed in his childs scent. Slowly they both relented there grip on each other and Seth allowed his son to lead him into the house and towards the kitchen. Again and again Luneth called out to his mother who was in the kitchen. Skatha came out of the kitchen all flustered due to the ruckus of her son, as she did not know what to make of the noise. But as she came out of the kitchen she looked and saw her husband being pulled along by his son. She smiled warmly towards him as she made her way to them. Seth and Skatha embraced and held one another for a moment. This was all Seth wanted, a family, somewhere to belong and he had it, for him life was perfect.
